Production Journal

During this week, we have presented our finally rough cut of the documentary like all the other groups (moon light prod. and skin prod.). This helped us a lot for the develop of our film because as seen the other works we take lots of new good ideas and also we notice lots of essential things that we have to put that we don't. During this week we decided the roll of each one in the group in what we are going to do for this final cut. Ernest was absent during this week but we all ready assign his roll that was to make the subtitles, so today I will make me responsible of calling him and ask him if he is going to do it, because if not I will do it with some help of Thomas that haves really good spelling and could help me with the spelling mistakes. We take to long doing the subtitles because we have no idea of what parts would appear in the film because of the editing. As we were editing we were cutting and replacing scenes and shoots.
I think this was a very good week, because we have time during the film classes to organize our selfs and now we all now what we have to do and if we complete all the things that we must add to the film, it haves lots of possibilities to be one of the best. I also think that during all this weeks of production each member of our group work really hard for this project and we all do our best. All the weeks we complete our tasks and we markedly advanced quicker than all the other groups because of the great knowledge of Thomas and also the great attitude that he has put to this film doing the fantastic art of magic that is the editing. I also think we all take very seriously this work.
During all this productions week, apart of all the other work that I done, the most important for me were the the new ideas and effects that I said to Thomas to put in the video. Also Manuel and I make a really good research about this topic that we have chosen and we find lot of good stuff, as for example really good b-roll footage and information (we could notice this, add the beginning of the film, also in some parts during and at the end of the film) like we could see the at the beginning the shots of the car crashes, during the film w could see the car moving trough the city, and at the end in the final shot when we see the grave with the flowers and the rain. This was very easy to make because we have the camera on during all the filmation day, what make us to have the possibility to choosing what scenes were good and not putting the only ones that we have. Also Ernest make a good work because he was in charge of choosing the places were we were going to film, and he did a really good job in that.

Summary of Notes:


After we have saw the beginning  of the movie (Seven), we could see many factors. One factor that was very important in the movie was, the cold bluish colors reflecting alienation and technology, which creates a really good effect in the shoot and this make the film more Neo Noir and we could see  in the shot from Seven how cold and clinical the feel is. Also another factor that is very present to give to the film a felling of a distorted, chaotic world lacking moral clarity where the Dutch and Low angles.

Production Journal

The las week during school lessons of film studies, we all sit in our groups. We were the most advance group of the class. That was because on the they we have to film, we film lots of things and great things. Because we have lots of footage Tomas with his knowledge could make some fantastic editing so we could finish a rough rough-cut. Also during film lesson we name who was the one in charge of transcribing the footage.

Production Journal

In this first week, the team has made more than what I was expecting that we would do. We completed the research that we have planed to do, and that, made me feel happy, because that makes me have a feeling of compromise from each one of the group. 

Also Tomas is organizing some interviews with his trainer and the owner of a "remiseria". We also where planing what to film, and the editor was creating 1.30 minutes of B-Role footage introduction. Also with Ernesto and Manuel, we all  where thinking about which questions we were going to ask, and if we were going to ask different questions to each one of them.

As an over all of this week, I think that if we continue like this, we could clearly be one of the best groups and also be the group that is ahead of the class

“Super Size Me”

1.  Voice Over of the questions + answers of several people, and Vice Over again introducing people by showing paintings, pictures and news from the newspapers.
2.  It’s not necessary, interview can respond as long as it is a clear statement.
3. They were medium shots and in some cases medium-low angle shots. People look at the interviewer. Level shots / variety of positions.
4. During the interview the camera shots are still.
5. The positioning of the interview is quite good because the interviewed people is looking at the interviewer and some times they look at the camera, also they were in a place that identify the interviewed people (office, street, etc…)
6. They give short and essential information getting to a point. They talk about what have they do in the past, how big were the things in the fast-food restaurants (Mc Donald, Burger King, etc…) and the problems that they bring to the society
